Moose Skowron, whose full name was William Joseph Skowron, was a power-hitting first baseman who played in Major League Baseball from 1954 to 1967. He was best known for his time with the New York Yankees, where he won four World Series titles (1956, 1958, 1961, and 1962). He also won another championship with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1963. Skowron was an eight-time All-Star and had a career batting average of .282, with 211 home runs and 888 RBIs. He was known for his clutch hitting in the postseason, delivering key performances in multiple World Series games.
